The Tech Delivery Lead will be leading teams in the configuration and implementation of sales incentive pay and other related software solutions to meet the business and technical requirements.  The role is typically engaged as the highest-level technology expert on a project team.  Partners with business analysts, systems analysts, and engineers in requirements gathering and reviews.  Responsible for analyzing and translating business, information, and technical requirements into an architectural blueprint that outlines solutions to achieve business objectives.   Develops enterprise level solutions that integrate across applications, systems, and platforms.  Proposes changes in process, policy, and standards as they relate to the sales pay solution. 
Responsibilities in this role include consulting throughout the software implementation life cycle, from requirements gathering, design, build, testing and go-live.  The Tech Delivery Lead must demonstrate expertise on standard pay calculation platform, such as Varicent,  and serve as a mentor for the product team.

  • Demonstrate extensive experience configuring the Varicent platform to client or internal stakeholders’ requirements
  • Demonstrate deep knowledge of practice specific concepts and best practices within the Sales Performance Management domain
  • Identify specific information needed to clarify situations or make decisions
  • Drives technical priorities and owns delivery and support responsibility for Incentive Pay Product team.
  • Engages with other technical stakeholders (operations, enterprise architecture, etc.) as necessary to manage technical requirements; facilitates estimation of costs and effort of work items
  • Ensures that the delivery team commits to achievable and realistic goals and includes the entire team in the estimation / planning process to obtain diverse perspectives
  • Assist with creation of project work plan including sequencing of tasks and estimating work effort


  • Bachelor's degree in CS or 5-7 years of software development experience, including 1 year in a dev focused leadership role
  • 3+ years experience configuring incentive pay software, such as Varicent or Xactly
  • 5+ years working in Sales Pay Management consulting
