Senior Program Director, Infrastructure (22-01674)

Location: 100% Remote
Position Type: Perm / Direct Hire 

Strategically drive prioritization and optimization of the Infrastructure Portfolio of programs and projects while maximizing the use of all resources through the project lifecycle, relying on expertise to anticipate and address portfolio change requests, issue management, risk management and status reporting.

RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Accountable for the project portfolio scope, schedule, budget, and post deployment performance, delivering value and return of very large programs from pilot to full deployment across the enterprise. 
  • Own onboarding of large projects, to deliver approved business functionality.
  • Define and lead portfolio prioritization of programs and projects, approach, assumptions, dependencies, risk, and budget.
  • Partner with all stakeholders and dependent projects leads to develop detailed project portfolio plan.
  • Oversee portfolio of project budgets, including purchases and contracts, and monthly spend and resource forecasting to enhance cost and resource efficiency.
  • Oversee the execution and tracking of purchase requisitions and onboarding of third party resources to specific projects.
  • Serves as final point of escalation in remediation of risks, issues, or requests. Evaluates impact of scope changes on the projects and how it may interact with other projects.
  • Drives, develops and delivers presentations on portfolio of projects in addition to ensure communications between stakeholders of dependent projects and with senior management
  • Apply new techniques and methodologies or adapt existing techniques and methodologies to solve project portfolio related issues

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 10+ years' of program and project management leadership
  • 10+ years of experience working in IT Portfolio management
  • 10+ years building cross-organizational consensus
  • 10+ years liaising with senior and executive leaders
  • Management of a team of at least 5 directs and in addition to indirect members that include matrix leadership and responsibilities
  • Ability to mentor technology management and technology professionals
  • Ability to organize several teams to focus on best practice
  • 5 years' experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Project and Smartsheets or equivalent
  • Experience with project management tools and methodologies.
  • Knowledge or expertise in multiple areas of IT Infrastructure (i.e. Data center compute, storage, networking, voice, cloud, end user technology)

EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:

  • CAPM/PMP, Prince 2 or similar certification.
  • Define and lead portfolio prioritization of programs and projects, approach, assumptions, dependencies, risk, and budget.
  • Introduce new techniques and methodologies or adapt existing techniques and methodologies to solve project portfolio related issues.
